The version on "Castor, the Twin" features extensive violin.

I think because the collective albums are kinda rushed. They aren't as focused as the solo albums. Plus, there's a lot of contrast between say  Dessa and Mike Mictlan's very aggressive, very fast verses.

You should also check out "No Kings", the Doomtree collective's album (featuring P.O.S., Sims, Cecil Otter, Mike Mictlan, and Dessa).

What's sad is that they're not even known in the Midwest. I'd expect the East/West coast to treat the midwest hip-hop scenes as flyover country, but I'd kill for the Doomtree crew to come to Saint Louis.

Dessa is greek for "wander" - her last name.
