Even the mightiest of swords is subpar if you are unable to thrust it. Unless Tina *really* enjoys cowgirling it up.

Artie
Man, he couldn't have been more out of character than he was in that cutaway where he was telling Tina that she needed to get a makeover.

Ah, the old Moffat staple
The creepy lurky thing that disguises itself as another thing.

But without the prequels, we wouldn't have the 70-minute Youtube review. So they at least brought something entertaining into the world.

Buffy
I think if Buffy had ended at the season 5 finale (with a few changes to provide closure) it would have been a perfect end for the series. A really fucking depressing ending, to be sure. But still perfect.

Aversion to circumcision!

Speaking of "Game Changers"…
Didn't the show make a big deal about Mitchell quitting his job a couple episodes ago? What the hell happened with that? Was it aired out of order or something?

"Hey, Walt, remember that proposition you turned down? Well tough shit, you're taking it anyways. At a drastically reduced salary. Either that, or I give the cartel permission to go medieval on you and your family. Toodles."

Wait, I'm confused
So the sailing class only lasted a couple of days? What crazy college is this?

Did anybody else hear the buzzing fly while Jeff was "Goldblumming"?

Poehler's Ansari impression owned
I'm glad to hear that Paul Schneider's leaving the show. He was second only to Ann as the show's most useless character. The show lost its need for a Jim-style straight man ever since the characters became more grounded.

I actually tried to make it through the second book in the hopes that it would be better and quit half way through. It really suffered from the same problems: I didn't care about the characters, the feminist themes were too on the nose, and the beginning had a useless plot cul de sac in Grenada.

Heresy, I know, but… (spoilers)
I really didn't see what was so great about the book.

My crackpot theory
I think Desmond is responsible for the flash-sideways. In the end, he takes Jacob's old post and uses his new god-like powers to send his friends to an altered reality where they weren't "touched" by Jacob. This way they will it will at least be up to them whether or not they become the fucked up

I was waiting for the show to justify Sawyer's sleeping with the suspect by revealing that he was actually working in a deeply corrupt task force a la The Shield.

WTF, miles?
It turns out Sawyer lied about where he was spending his vacation and you throw a hissy fit? He's your partner, not your husband.

Not at all likely, but…
It'd be funny if he was really doing this because Avatar's budget was actually so huge that even making more than $2 billion at the box office wasn't enough for it to break even.

I am sort of afraid that Ryan Murphy will pull a Tim Kring and fuck up what's working for the show while steadfastly refusing to correct its flaws. Especially since most of the spoilers for the back nine give me the impression that it's going to devolve into a "guest star of the week" kind of show.

Agreed. It just makes it more painful that this show is getting such weak ratings while the insanely overrated Modern Family can be huge hit.

Glee
I enjoy Glee, but I still laughed at Jeff's tearful rant against the show.
