I only became aware of Southland Tales' existence by reading about it on MYOF. When Nabin got into recapping the plot I started cracking up and thought that he had to be making it all up.

Why the fuck would they pick up Dollhouse? My understanding was that Joss told all the story he needed to tell for that show.

I think my problem with Cloverfield was that I didn't give a shit about the characters. By about 10 minutes into the going away party, the monster couldn't gobble up those obnoxious twats fast enough IMHO.

Fans of these movies usually respond to any criticism of these movies with, "It's about badass robots who fight each other! You aren't supposed to care about the plot."
