I got an email saying they're playing LA on August the 17th at the Gibson. If that helps.

Yeah. Especially since you never know when the tickets are first announced who will be in ACL. If you can even get the early tickets. Now all they have left are the $1000 ish ones and the first weekend is already sold out. Here's hoping they do an after show. I went to see them in Austin and Dallas for the Era

Avon is one of the best songs Homme has ever penned. So yes, recommend that to any and everyone. How To Handle A Rope and Walking On Sidewalks are some of my other favorites from it. I hope they incorporate some of the older stuff from the first album when they tour next.

I just couldn't get into Mantra. The Alain Johannes 'Trick With No Sleeve' was the better of the Homme songs on that album in my opinion. I watched the eight minute video of the instrumental version of Mantra, which I guess is a part of the movie. It was tedious and I couldn't help hoping it would either go somewhere

I quite like them and the album. I tend to skip the first two tracks but otherwise it's pretty solid. Caligulove is infinitely catchy. I'm glad I got to see them live when they hit Stubb's before ACL.

Does anyone know why though? I can't find anything about it. I admit I'll miss Joey, he was one cool dude. He was very pleasant to talk to after a show and always seemed so happy to be there.

He played on the new Mondo Generator album that came out in July. John Garcia did too on a song with Homme. I found that even more odd, but then again I just read it was recorded before the Kyuss lawsuit. Oliveri is still friends with Homme but he's still pretty far from rejoining Queens of the Stone Age.

Just throwing this out there but maybe Bryan Cranston or Joel McHale for host and the Afghan Whigs for the musical guest since they're reunited and touring. Why the hell not. The Joel McHale thing is probably a no since NBC cares so little about Community anyways.

I'm sorry but magic and Jimmy Fallon don't really seem to go together to me. I've never found Jimmy Fallon funny when he was on originally on SNL and I still don't find him funny now. Nothing he could do will ever change my mind. At least I can find Wiig funny occasionally when she's not running a character into the

Don't give them any ideas.

No, it actually is. He's a pretty nice guy. I met him in Austin too, and I'm glad he still goes there after all that crap too.

The bonus tracks on the Rhino re-release of Head had some pretty amazing stuff on it. I like the Peter Tork version of 'Can You Dig It'. As for the movie, it gets better with each viewing.

I also love "Listen To The Band". Anything with Mike really. I still treasure my metal Monkees lunchbox that came with that Rhino gift set from the late 90's. (I lost some of the pieces to the puzzle though.) I'm surprised and glad that there's so much love for the Monkees since most of the people have given me a

Argh, that first joke was lame. On topic, this is one of the best things Dulli has done. It's as good as Powder Burns and Saturnalia were. It has a bit more electronic edges still influencing him even after the Gutter Twins album, but I really think it gels well with his style. I am very much looking forward to the
