Circa Survice is a dumb band name and as such I do not support them.  [Buys a new Kanye West album and supports major labels]

That's still kind of bullshit, though.  Shouldn't the cost of touring be offset by the cost of tickets/merch?  You're paying to pay again, not paying for a product, which is my problem with it.  It's not like "we need money to get ready for tour, so if you buy a ticket now you can make sure we get to tour."  It's

@avclub-c701a997d9bef627835b036efb4eca63:disqus I bet Christie could drink the whole thing.

But Amanda Palmer is a piece of shit.

"At press time, buy Doritos"

I GOT THE NUMBER ONE PUMPKIN, FAM.

Oh, I wasn't trying to say it's an ethical thing.  I just thought the original poster was like "HE ONLY IS COOL WITH DAVID BAZAN CAUSE HE LIKES HIM" when the two situations are different in a bunch of other ways, as well.

Yeezus Shrugged

Speaking of Herzog, I cannot commend Paul F. Tompkins' 4-week residency on Doug Loves Movies as Werner Herzog enough.  It is amazing, so many crazy fake-Herzog riffs.

It's the greatest title of all time.

It is not Yeezus

I've not seen The Shining, but of all the theories I've read the "impossible architecture" one does seem reasonable.  You would never actively think about it, but your brain would attempt to form a coherent map of the place and fail, making it much more disorienting.  I could see that being a real directoral decision.

By the time "Sexx Laws" came out hadn't the Tenacious D show been on already?

@avclub-22eda830d1051274a2581d6466c06e6c:disqus I would totally listen to a radio show named "TALKIN' TWELVE YEAR OLDS WITH DAN AND GARY"
