I never saw the Potter movies 5-7(8) but I will say this for the book relation of the first movie.
Yay! I have spent a lot of my life looking at Natalie Portman.

Yeah. 2012 was a decent year for blockbusters. Top 4 grossing movies of the year were The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, The Hunger Games, and Skyfall. All four of those are pretty good movies, at the worst. It was a solid summer.
Wait, they're doing that? So is the first movie just going to be a girl crying in a room inside a concrete bunker? Jesus. I still don't know how Catching Fire will be a movie. It's entirely body, not beginning or end. Also, that girl who spends the whole book rubbing oil on your tits will not work in a PG-13…
I saw that. BUT I WANT MORE.
It's not a super-complex story or anything, but it's a simple dystopian tale, and a pretty good movie. The problem is, book 2 has no plot, and book 3's plot is absurdly dark and weird and kind of dumb. Those movies won't work as well.
WHY IS THAT MAN WITH NO EYE STABBING THAT ICE KING IN THE THROAT WHAT IS GOING ON WHERE IS NATALIE PORTMAN I WAS PROMISED NATALIE PORTMAN
I am 1 minute into Thor and no have clue what's going on.
The trailers made it look hilarious, but on purpose. Like, the trailers I saw clearly showed Michael Bay's style as being the world these men believe they live in, when really they are kind of losers. I was actually excited for it, and I realized it's not very ironically.
I have seen Sissy Spacek in two films. One is Badlands. The other is Hot Rod. I'm not sure which I like more.
The one track on Nine Kinds of Light totally does it for me, Keep Your Heart.
Yeah, you can tell when Letterman is genuinely blown away by a performance (like that Monae clip below, too). It's worth nothing TV on the Radio went back on for some big Letterman episode, and each member performed from a different fire escape outside the studio. That doesn't happen if Letterman doesn't remember…
That's what I love. When a band goes on late night and clearly BRINGS IT. They don't treat it like "oh, we have to go on TV." They clearly understand this could help their success and totally go all out, and it is worth it.
I got excited as soon as I saw Janelle Monae. Man oh man this song is so good.
They're a good band, and this might be my favorite late night performance of all time.
"Almost all". Roswell is the one that doesn't.
