I don't think Dawes are particularly loved by "hipsters".
Guys, the new Dawes album has leaked, and is upon us in its full glory. Praise be to Dawes, Praise be to Laurel Canyon, Hallelujah.

SOME PREVIEWS:
And this has been, Bill Murray and a Leather Fetishist Discuss the Films of Woody Allen
Oh, see, I haven't seen any Bergman, which might be why I liked Interiors so much, and why I don't quite get Stardust Memories.
I remember almost nothing of Hannah and some of the lower ranked films. I don't remember much about Interiors except liking it, so I might be mixing it up with Hannah or something. They all need to be watched again. And if it keeps up the promise of the first half-hour, I'm betting on Love falling right below Sleepe…
For what it's worth, here's how I'd order the Allen I've seen.
I haven't Scoop or Rome yet, and am going to be watching Vicky today, and if I have the time Match Point (or Vertigo, also been on a Hitchcock bender).
And yeah. I feel it may be "transitional" but that means it's between his "joke" films and his more "intellectual" films, which means it is full of really smart jokes, unafraid to go over peoples' heads. I wish he had more like Love.
Man oh man, that guy is strange. Then again, the third act of Stardust Memories proves that better than I could.
As someone who considered Annie Hall his favorite movie, finally watching Manhattan a month ago really fucked with me. I'm still not sure how I feel about it maybe being better.
Yeah, I only watched it because the version of Vicky Christina Barcelona I downloaded was in the wrong aspect ratio, and I thought "Eh, this seems like minor-Allen but still good, might as well watch it" and it's really funny!
So, I got 30 minutes into Woody Allen's Love and Death last night before falling asleep (I plan on finishing it today), and let me just say, Diane Keaton is goooooorgeous.
"Oh, Birdie, Birdstrom, you know"
I remember buying that album based on having heard it was "pretty good", along with the second Wolf Parade album. I went home and listened to it 8 times in a row. It's got a place in my heart.
which seems to be beyond the capabilities of some people
Oh yes.
