fuck that.
I like Hannah, but I agree the show is best when every girl has a (good) plot. I think the season was building to this, and in shows that are frequently watched in quick binges (AKA modern TV) stuff like this is to be expected. Lena Dunham is in her 20s, she's used to watching TV in a binge, she makes TV that works…
@avclub-39df51c015ce671b473b8cf5a306d217:disqus - I only watched Tiny Furniture once (my fucking douchebag friend won't return that or my copy of Jimmy Corrigan), but having watched it post-Season 1 of Girls… Season 1 of Girls she's a few years out of school. Tiny Furniture is truer to her (Dunham's) life (ie: she…
DA CRACKCIDENT
AGREED. The characters no longer have to be outlined and thus we can see them for who they are and push into the beautiful horizon of LOVE.
I like The Americans too! and Girls rules! YAY TELEVISION!
I do not like Wonderwall. But it's the equivalent of, when I'm sad, singing Blink-182 songs. It just feels safe. And natural. I love that feeling more than anything.
fucking baller Jessa.
dude football sucks dick we watch Girls
Lena I think is acting as herself, as she is writing for herself. This is good and bad. It's hard to "act" lines you've written for a character based on you, you just feel it's best to act "natural" which can feel forced.
100% agree. I think this episode was incredible, and episodes I previously gave A's might get A-'s now, knowing it can do this good.
HE MADE MONEY OFF THE RECESSION
John Lennon was very vocal in that he never shot heroin, he would only snort or smoke it. For proof, listen to the bootleg session with Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney (big deal as it's the only recording of Lennon with McCartney post-Beatles) where he offers anyone "a toot and a snort" or some shit. It's cocaine,…
I thought this episode was a great episode of drama and comedy. Hannah's lines trying to hold the dinner party together were hilarious, while real stakes pushed it forward. Modern plot-driven comedy at its finest.
Shoshanna is my favorite.
It's my favorite episode of the series. Every "girl" got a main plot, and Charlie and Ray did as well. It had huge laughs (Hannah's "I just think I feel how everyone feels, which is that I've got 3 or 4 great folk albums in me" line made me die, I rewound it 4 or 5 times), and huge emotional moments (Ray's "I love…
I think Ecstasy is absolutely beautiful, I listened to the new album 6 times in like, a day. Yeah, nervous energy seems like it would be all their shows are about. I love nervous energy dancing.
He commits to that bit so hard, and no one else helps him. It's so amazing.
I want an episode for Wittels does New No Nos, and Rust hangs out in the Foam Corner.
