I also think people read the title as "This is what girls are like, and you are one, and RELATE TO IT" when really, it's just about those girls, and a title is a title.

I'd recommend it.  It's not incredible, and it might be a little overstuffed with DRAMA for the future, but I am excited to see where this series is headed.

I really like it!  I think a lot of it is Hannah saying things that feel like things my friends or I have said, and it hitting me how awful I am.

Exactly.  The problem isn't that she likes TBBT and not 30 Rock or Seinfeld etc.  It's that she feels she's a better person for liking only one thing, because she doesn't need all that fancy TV.
