I think there is a difference between a killer eroticising violence and a show explicitly doing the same. I thought that the scene kept nudity to a minimum, but showed what it had to show in terms of the storyline. Yeah, Utopia is one of the few bright spots in my opinion, and I haven't seen Broadchurch but have heard good things. But honestly when was the last time a truly great drama was on BBC1/2? I think it was the Shadow Line, and that was two years ago.

I've seen the first two episodes, and mostly liked them. However it has the problem that most hour long BBC drama's have in that the episodes feel padded and because it has to appeal to a relatively broad audience it lacks a real personality.
