Doctor Who is very much an outlier in this sense, very few non-soaps get runs of more than 10 episodes

I'm a big S2 defender, but Children of Earth is clearly Torchwood's high point and probably the high point of NuWho as a whole.

I think Torchwood S2 was great and I don't care who knows it, he also did Broadchurch which was pretty good

Because you can't really describe the 4-8 episode standard run as a season

Since we know Palmer goes on this site…

What the folk?

Can we please have a section for people who dislike the whole Miles thing not at all due to his ethnicity but rather because they killed Peter Parker and had him take up the mantle almost immediately. Miles on his own is pretty nice character, and yeah I think comics should make more of an effort to be more racially

Of the "acclaimed Scandinavian dramas" broadcast on BBC4 I always thought Borgen was one of the weaker ones, mainly because it is fairly episodic but the beeb always insist on showing two episodes back to back. There's only so much Danish politics I can handle in one sitting.

Mandarin was never a good villain

I saw Game of Thrones after Sirens, so for the first episode I kept thinking of Robb as a gay Scottish ambulance driver

Actually only the guy who plays can really be considered failed in that department (he's still in a bunch of movies but none particularly big). Everyone else in the cast has been in a major blockbuster film within the past year or two. That's why it was kind of surprising the show was renewed, the finale was being set

Yeah, fuck The Killing and The Bridge

No Saga Noren, no watch

Yeah, obsessing over the possibility of a character being pregnant is totally worse than any other kind of obsessing over this totally fictional fantasy series.

I just want to track down the original, I only ever saw the first six episodes. It is one of those rare shows that just does not exist on the internet.

For a second I thought that The Night Shift was a re-make of the Icelandic sitcom Næturvaktin

Prediction: SHIELD will be a fairly safe procedural that will be fun but ultimately the weakest in the Whedon television canon

It was a mediocre season, but finale (and spacetime) aside it never really collapsed into outright terribleness.

But who the hell is even going to work on it? Ganz had a mixed season, but she at least prevented the show from completely collapsing. Who do they even have left in the writers room?
