I could buy that, if the outbreak was slow enough, a lot of the bodies would be at quarantine centers/mass graves (like in Contagion) rather than everyone just dropping dead (like in The Stand). Doesn't explain the total absence of bodies, but still.

The only thing I can think of is 'jokes about how their hands are permanently gripping' but the LEGO movie did that, too.

I read Mysterious Skin because the cover had Joseph Gordon Levitt on it and the synopsis said it was about a boy who was abducted by aliens. Boy was I surprised when that's not what it was about at all.

For some reason the player cut off half the picture so I couldn't see most of Ignatiy's face, just his nose and hand when he was gesturing. I suspect Dowd-play.
