Not to mention my favorite little bit of continuity: Max looks like Kathy Bates. And I don't know if this is intentional continuity or they just think it's a funny job, but there have been two throwaway lines about Penny hooking up with/making a date with allergists.

Oh yeah, breaking up with Smith was definitely way worse, but Phillips is so good and she played that sort of sad confusion so well that it still got to me.

The Jules and Chick stuff was just so great, and Cox and Jenkins acted the hell out of it. This episode got me emotional all over the place, proving that Laurie getting broken up with will never not be heartbreaking to watch.

I didn't know about the politics, I just hated Everybody Loves Raymond and she was my least favorite part of it. She's probably my least favorite part of this show too, but I still like her quite a bit.

When did this show get so good? It really snuck up on me. I hated it in the beginning, though that may be in part due to my blinding dislike of Patricia Heaton, but I've been watching this season and it's only just hit me that it's actually really, really good. Was it always this good and I just didn't notice? This is

I do love them together. Even their little moment in Fluffer where he's escorting her away was funny. "Winston, I thought you were better than this…"

Nothing will top Caveman Dinner from a season or two ago.

THANK YOU! It was killing me. Not enough to actually look it up, but enough to be excited to see the mystery solved.

I love the rare moments where Burt knows words. The "schadenfreude" bit was one of my favorite parts of the night.

I liked the repetition of "You stupid clumsy bitch!" from Derek's first episode.

I noticed that, too. If Happy Endings doesn't survive it'd make a great pair with Cougar Town. That would be the best hour of comedy ever.

Yeah that type of gag can go wrong so easily, but somehow they just nailed it. And it went on just long enough to reach the max potential of its funny without going beating the joke to death. It helps that Deschanel is awesome with physical comedy, too.

It's probably worth mentioning that I wasn't the biggest fan of The Newsroom in the first place, so that might be where we differ (maybe). She was always the highlight of it for me.

Yeah I don't see how anyone can still say Deschanel isn't a good actress. She's been consistently knocking the dramatic stuff out of the park this year, and her comedic bits are just as funny as everyone else's. Her completely defeated, "I feel like a bird," was one of my favorite lines of the night.

I thought she was great. She was also my favorite part of The Newsroom, so I'm not as anti-Munn as I once was, but I think she fits in well. Her faces during Nick's apology were great.
