I almost felt that storyline merited a miniseries of its own, while it fits in the overall world of The Wire, after S1 it was a let down for me, even though I like it. Maybe it's my Stringer Bell fandom talking :)

Well sure, I say step down, but on a show like the Wire even a step down is still pretty good :)
I can't say that I didn't enjoy it, i just prefer season 1 :)

The Wire Season 2 was a step down from the first, but then they recovered with Season 3 :)

The authors cynicism notwithstanding, Numb/Encore is still the bomb. :)

My bad spelling notwithstanding, but no, i watch movies that are stylistically more soothing or are more in accordance with my taste in film. Well if someone feels that stylistically a movie might not sooth them, why should they feel obligated to watch it? I get movie recommendations often from friends, and they mostly offer me movies that they like, not movies that they think i would like. Therein lies the problem, at least for me.
