I watched it on Netflix thinking it would be fun to mock, or so bad it's good, or something.  but it was just depressing, like a lousy SyFy original movie with the crappy CGI monsters replaced with vaguely ethnic looking politicians and journalists.

It's funny, because modern libertarians tend to be in favor of drastically loosening intellectual property laws.  It happens to be one of my favorite libertarian positions, actually.
