Roaring Twenties and White Heat are both great.  Along with Scarface, I'd say those are the best of the old school studio gangster flicks.

I just started watching this season and I haven't had any trouble following it or understanding the characters.  Seems like you can just pick it up any time.

I've seen all but about 4 or 5 of all of these.  I'm not sure I should be proud of that or not.  Saw a lot of movies in the 90s I guess.  If you made one of these for the 00s I would probably not have seen a dozen of them.
