My favorite part of this show were the scenes with Carrie and Brody.  Claire Danes and Damien Lewis are so great acting together and have such great chemistry.  I really loved the dysfunctional love story best and hoped that in some impossible way they could continue their relationship.

Question:  Why is Brody so mean

If Kymia was selling her signature for $5 how did she end up with $96?
I agree and wish that Sara had gotten the full $30k instead of having to split it with Young.

I had a tear at the end of the episode.. the memory of a happy christmas, helen in bed with the dog, the music..

ala "a beautiful mind" it sadly looks like…

I felt bad for Carrie's disappointment about Brody - she really was thinking he was going to spend time with her, especially when he suggested meeting at her house.  Turns out he was just selfishly limiting his exposure.  I also thought Brody might go back in and was hoping he did too.  I love scenes with them

This episode really shined a light on why Jimmy went off to war.  It is very different than the reason Nucky provided earlier this season - that Jimmy couldn't cut the academics.  It is sad that Nucky didn't know more about how Gillian was damaging Jimmy. It makes Jimmy's story sadder to realize he was doing well at

I also loved the Nucky/Margaret scene.  Nucky is so level-headed and smart about people and situations.  It broke my heart when he said "I've given you everything" to Margaret because he has.  I just wish she could keep it together and be there for him.  But alas, Nucky has been the recipient of every thing shitty

There is an interesting connection to what happened and alcohol.  Gillian started the visit by having Jimmy drink with her instead of working on his essay. If Jimmy weren't so drunk that night, he would likely have resisted.  Alcohol, the business that ties these characters, is usually part of their bad decisions and

I felt very badly for Carrie with her disappointment with Brody and then her concussion/botched operation.  Saul said he was jealous of her having a week of bedrest with good drugs  - but they aren't going to be the meds Carrie needs.  Looks like being without her clozapine is going to take its toll on Carrie per

i understand Amy is fearful about losing her job because she is in debt from Open Air and already has to live with her mom, and i understand she has an overdose of of self-righteous, semi-delusional justification that cause her to feel entitled to keeping her job, but the escapist in me was really hoping they would

There went Richard's  "what does it feel like to have it all?" idealization of Jimmy's life.

i'm looking forward to more Brody and Carrie interaction "next time"

it is interesting to look back now on how the VP was one of the first people to welcome him home, just after his family.  he later joked with friends at his bbq that he didn't even know the VP's name.

and i like how he asked owen about how long he knew him and if he knew that was going to happen.   the old guard is not safe anywhere

and it looks like they are setting teddy up to be an arsonist…  he is always staring at those fires

i don't resent it and i don't consider myself savvy or intellectual.  i just was sayin' (since i enjoy watching tv and enjoy reading these blogs and discussions even more and currently have the time to do it) that i thought sucklord seemed mature (as he should since he is twice the age of the other contestants) and i

i am glad she gave a shout out to lena dunham.  can't wait to see 'girls'.

I don't think Dusty will ever be able to fit into one leg of Young's shorts.
I'll miss the Sucklord, too.  He was super mature and gentlemanly.

on inside the episode terrence winter says that the actor who played nucky's dad, Tom Aldredge, was sick on this set and subsequently died.  it must have been difficult for him and the cast to play out his wake.  i am glad his picture is at the top of this episode's review.

they certainly did a bit already at the end of this episode.
