I knew it was Ignatiy Vishnevetsky when I prophesied it 500 years ago: "Therefore the LORD himself will give you a sign. Behold, Ignatiy Vishnevetsky's mom will conceive, and she will call him Ignatiy Vishnevetsky, for he will save his people from cynical cash grabs marketed at the religious right."

I'm not sure who has the more delightfully absurd concept: Van Damme's spy-in-a-Huckleberry-Finn-action-film series or Daniel Radcliffe's farting boner corpse movie.

Yeah, that's definitely an extra-Biblical element that's made it's way into the popular imagining.

Of course he did. Chip Hitler!

Remember that commercial Kid Rock did for the Army Reserve with Dale Earnhardt Jr. that somehow likened army service to driving a car real real fast? It used to play in movie theaters a few years back. The man could be a stand-up gent in every respect and still deserve all the ire the world has to offer for that music

It's like I and all my friends are bleeding out on the floor right now. And it's just horrible, but beautifully photographed.

Ah, God's Not Dead, the delightful little tale of how God ran over an atheist with a car after humiliating him in front of his class and colleagues. But he gets saved before he expires, so it's OK!

Dragon Age: Inquisition is the first (and to date, only) game where I've earned every trophy/achievement. And it's not because I was trying to, either. I just played it that much.

Great! Now if only Comedy Central's video player wasn't a blight upon humanity.

He let you know him, NBC. See him. He gave you a rare gift, but you didn't want it.

Bryan Fuller's involvement makes me feel quite a bit better. In fact, part of me wishes he was the brains behind the forthcoming Sandman adaptation.

Final Fantasy IX is probably my favorite game in the series. It seems to me it's had a real second wind of appreciation in the last several years. It doesn't hurt that we're all getting older, and that game probably has the best and most emotionally mature character writing in the series.

After more than 10 years of false rumors, I'm just stunned. Who knows if the thing'll be worth a damn, but what a reveal! All of my childhood friends are losing their minds right now.

People seem to be impressed by this stubbly new Hamburglar, but I'm not so sure. He has the look of a man who is no longer welcome in several city parks. Just take a look at the sinister subtext in that shushing picture. What secrets are you trying to keep quiet, Stubbleburglar?

Considering the twist Dowd detailed in his "Little Boy" review, I see a cross-over opportunity for the Marvelverse just waiting to happen.

Not being a big superhero comic reader, it was X-Men 2, and specifically the very cool Nightcrawler scenes, that got me interested in superhero movies and shows. Even if the most recent X-Men movie wasn't excellent, I'd still be interested to see a new take on the character.

Yeah, this really guts me. Silent Hill 2 is one of my top three games ever. Very few games attempt to tackle such mature (not rated-M-for-mature, mind you, but truly adult) thematic material, much less pull it off with such nuance and resonance. I didn't expect Silent Hills to reach those storytelling highs, but P.T.

Yeah, it seems the God Bots are already hitting the comment sections of negative articles, or at least they are on the Variety review:

On a related note, have you guys ever seen the video for "Hidden Lakes?" It was what made me listen to the album again. I really like it, but then again, lost dog stories strike me instantly in the gut.

Shearwater is so under-appreciated, considering how good they are. Jonathan Meiburg has one of my favorite singing voices and is equally capable at powerful, belted-out choruses and delicate falsetto. I finally saw them live for the first time a couple years ago, which was a real treat.
