Well, at least that was progress.  As people above have mentioned, Grimm is not always best on the follow through, but this gave me some hope.  I want to save my grade until the next episode to see if they drop the ball.  Happy to have some progress on the Royals.  Danislov, as mentioned by the (now presumably dead)…

I don't remember them ever saying whose house it was, but Juliette has to make way more as a vet (even one that doesn't ever go to work) than Nick does as a cop, so it might be hers.

Nick killed it, Jess killed it, and Schmidts face trying not to laugh at Winston was awesome. This episode could have been awful but I loved all of it.
