I'm single because I don't put a lot of my own advice into play, so I definitely understand it's easier said than done.

Thats awesome.  We must have been typing at the same time!  Murakami might be very depressing since both of of these books seem like they're a bit of a downer.  Let me know what you think though!

I saw that movie with a group of friends including the guy I've been crushing on (do the kids still say that these days? Crushing on?).  He was the only one of my friends that didn't cry at that scene.  Crush deflated.

For someone who grew up in the Mormon West (Utah and Idaho), SLC Punk! is a dishearteningly good portrayal of what a lot of my friends grew up in.  I've seen it a dozen times and each time it starts to look more and more like my friends.  Excellent movie choice.

Decided to read some Murakami this week.  Japanese literature is something that I seemed to have missed out on and I've decided that I need to try to read some authors that are still alive.

I'm with mratfink.  Last of the Mohicans was better done as a movie.

Some dating advice from a single girl who has no business giving dating advice:
1- I'll echo E. Buzz (I don't know how to make his name pop up in that fancy box), in that living in a big city, you have to get prepared for rejection, rejection, rejection.
2- Putting pressure on yourself to be in a relationship is only

Here's the thing about extreme nitpicking- if this was a good show, which it could be, "extreme nitpicking" would come up with some results that matter.  What we have with this show are simultaneous threads being picked up and dropped, and no knowledge of a larger mythology for the show.  Someone said it best last

The last time I noticed it, it seemed like a simple silver band.  This time it did have a more signet-y feel, but it's still weird to wear that on your wedding finger right?  I think I noticed a gold class-type ring on his finger previously on the proper hand, so maybe Renard is just a guy who digs his bling.

So I have nothing to add to the discussion of this weeks so-so episode, so instead, I thought I would make a running list of things on this show that we are waiting for them to wrap up:
1. How did Renard know to become a police captain, wait a long time and then hire Nick so he could have a Grimm on his staff?  I can

I know 17 people that went to Reed, and the ones that continue to live in Portland keep chickens in their backyard.  So they had that going for them.
