Yeah, that's part of why I like the YouTube clips, which are clearly ripped from people's tapes. Sometimes the tracking goes off and Stack's voice becomes inhumanly low, which scares the crap out of me if it appears unawares.

Yay, Unsolved Mysteries! That show still gives me the creeps whenever I watch a stray segment on YouTube. Robert Stack never gets enough credit for being as awesome as he is.

I thought this was going to be about Frederick Wiseman's ground-breaking documentary, but I forgot that Adrien Brody wasn't in fact in that movie.

Yeah, I said this above, but sex is a pretty big part of Topsy-Turvy, since the film juxtaposes Sullivan's mistress with Gilbert's sexually frustrated wife. Handled subtly, but it's still there.

Well, that begs the question: does nudity = sex? Although thematically sex is very important in Topsy-Turvy, what with comparing Sullivan's relationship with his American mistress and Mrs. Gilbert hungering for some Jim Broadbent action.

Why did it take so many comments to get to that?

The best part of the review is when right before trolling on P.T. Anderson he drops a little hatebomb on Martin Scorsese on the side: "My point isn’t to measure Paul W. S. Anderson against Martin Scorsese;
that’s too easy–an almost unfair contrast of innovative imagination to
uninspired convention."
