I agree. It's smug and cliched, exactly the kind of Wes Anderson film that Wes Anderson haters see. The animation was good, but the visuals just aren't enough.

The catchphrase on everyone's lips in 2009: NO INCEST!
@ Juanito, maybe it's just Johnny Depp from Dead Man, come back from his near-death experience in the Northwest to endorse mediocre cinema.
Amen!
Holy crap. We did this text in second-year English at university. I didn't think anyone else had ever heard of it. Shit, man.
It being Christmas season and all, I decided to celebrate by watching "Santa Claus," and it's definitely up there with the best episodes of MST3K; but it goes without saying which one's my favorite.

Pray tell, what else are drugs like?
@Evan Waters,
Q: When was "LTROI" starting to get good?
A: The opening credits, accompanied by the sound and sight of falling snow on one side of the frame.
I agree: the cat scene keeps it from being perfect. But it is more than made up for by the last two scenes at the end.
I second that.
Well, Xanadu does star that black hole of charisma, Michael Beck (I don't know the consensus on "The Warriors," but I thought he sucked pretty hard there, too). I agree with you on all points, but I thought that last number was more ridiculous than clunky.
@Jim Rockford, Xanadu's not that bad, just mediocre. Took itself way too seriously and was pretty boring. But I like Gene Kelly and ELO.

The Final Sacrifice, one of their best, IMO. This might jog your memory:

Has nobody here seen "Ben and Arthur." It may not be the "best" bad movie, but for my money, it is one of the worst films ever made. Since it came out in 2002, it also qualifies for this list. Even the Room looks better shot than that shit.
That might be a good comparison, except for the fact that Judd Apatow is no Steven Spielberg, much less Stanley Kubrick. The only thing Apatow is good at is being friends with funny talented people who also know other funny talented people so they can all be in his movies. Apatow alone brings nothing to the table,…
@Of course
No "Fleet Foxes"?
What a shame. Certainly my favorite album of the decade, but considering that I only have about 5 or 6 of these albums, I'll accept that I'm out of touch.
