Yes, he is getting what he deserves, but he still is a great film director. Those two things can coexist.

Forget it Roman,
It's Switzerland.

And that makes it a good movie?

Though it makes "Fish Tank" a bit more interesting…

I actually thought the first clip was all right
not because of Fox, whom I'm not a fan of, but rather because of the reference to "La Dolce Vita." It's only a bigger reflection of the film's missed opportunities, I guess.

I remember seeing the image of Nakadai on the steps in the intro to "Shogun: Total War."Out of context it was kind of weird but in context that scene was amazing. A pity "Ran" isn't part of the set.

Don't you mean a (*ahem*) stray dog?

@teadoust,
I definitely see what you're saying: Hudson's just a piece of meat in "All That Heaven Allows," and conversely any charm in Hudson's character in "Pillow Talk" comes from the actor rather than the script. But I think you sell him just a bit short. I just saw "Magnificent Obsession" the other day and really

By 60's I meant "pre-60s," since the film was made in 1959. How did that movie win Best Screenplay over North by Northwest?

I can't stand Pillow Talk
It epitomizes everything wrong with 60s values and entertainment. It's got bad jokes and worse outfits (Doris Day must have picked up roadkill, put it on her head, and called it a hat). In the end I just felt bad for Tony Randall and Thelma Ritter. I only gained respect for Rock Hudson after

I'm really looking forward to the Australian remake about a guy named "Day Mate," and the one about a guy named "Housekeeping Seal of Approval"…

"Oh boy."
"Oh boy what?"
"You're fucked."

@sombrero, Jericho Cane is the name of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's character. Another "subtle" facet of Richard Kelly's plan to shoehorn every apocalyptic reference possible.

Nothing beats "Zap Rowsdower" in "The Final Sacrifice" Nothing.

"Animal Soccer World" is to video games what "Ben and Arthur" is to films. There isn't even any game!

Finally!!
A film befitting Michael Bay's talents- hedonistic capitalism, rough sex, exceptional yet shallow men- this covers all his bases.
