I love the Silmarillion, but it's a history textbook, so it's obviously not for everyone.  Lord of the Rings is an actual story.  I've also read a few of his other history things, like Lost Tales, but they weren't as interesting as the Silmarillion.

I know a lot of people that watch Big Bang Theory, they're the kind of people who enjoy Family Guy and watch BBT when they want some "smart" humor.

That's actually the only Ren and Stimpy I've ever seen but it makes me feel a little sick too and I have no interest in watching anymore.  It's not even the cartoon violence, the animation is just disgusting like Courage of the Cowardly Dog or Rugrats.
