crossing my fingers. even though I was disappointed w/ this season as a whole, there's a shit-ton of potential here. I'm confident that TD could possibly turn into something phenomenal

what's so funny

well what I was trying to say is that even with the 8 hours they had, the characterization was poor

if it's not a murder mystery, then what the hell is it? a character study?

a few things:

This was my favorite episode of 'Girls'. It did everything right. The relationships between Hannah's mom and her sisters felt realistic and Bruce Eric Kaplan (writer of the episode) did an excellent job at documenting their history as sisters with the brief window of time he had. It also did a great job at advancing

yeah, I think the AV Club suffers from "Pitchfork syndrome" in the sense that the staff writers obnoxiously assume that its readership knows more than it should

I don't think you can watch Season 6 and argue that Mad Men glorifies its characters' fucked-up shit. The writers basically hung a sign around Don's neck that said in gigantic bold letters "I AM A REPULSIVE MAN!"
