I never thought I'd be so delighted to see Bobby Briggs again yet here we are.

They better not have laid a damn dirty finger on Papi.
I think it's pretty clear he's supposed to be a generally well-meaning guy with big flaws who makes poor decisions. He thinks he's chivalrous when he's being self-righteous and he's rightfully called out for it, be it by his ex, Gina Gershon or a morning shift stripper.
Strongly disagree about McQuarrie. Dude's a solid craftsman at lean, tough guy, popcorn cinema. Like a modern Walter Hill with a bigger budget.
Don't forget those rumors about him being a girlfriend abuser. There's that video of him harassing one of them and threatening to kill her.
The only thing I gathered from his Spielberg rant was that Spielberg seems way too nice.
$16 million an episode?! Jeezus, did Andy Serkis mo-cap half the cast? And I know a grand total of ONE person in real life who's seen more than one episode of this show (that would be me).
Was Jay even involved in this video? It feels like an entirely Mike effort.
Man, do I love Cuarón’s work.
Same. And I dug it when it started. But it was a chore. I wanted to desperately walk out, the first time I've had that urge in ages.
Tons of great suggestions in the comments. Especially regarding animated flicks. I like many of the dramedies and dark flicks on here but I'd really love a list of straight up PURE comedies. I especially have a soft spot for shamelessly dumb comedies that just go for it.
Right? It just came out here in the states TWO MONTHS AGO! And yeah, it completely fell apart for me as well. Loved the first 45 minutes. Fucking HATED the rest.
I think I'm an old fuddy duddy because I don't find dog death funny.
It's a shame Netflix already used the title Master of None because I can't think of a more apt description for Joe Swanberg.
I do think those 2 shows are pretty much the best of this genre. But, yeah, trying to sit through Love, Digging For Fire, etc. I'm burned out on most of this kind of stuff.
I'm pretty much over "awful white people with ennui who find love" indie-style shows/movies. Pretty much every indie movie with Kristin Wiig is one of these.
Dear God, yes. After Master of None, these shows feel like a huge step backwards. All I notice is how damn white they are. There's more diversity - and creativity (but that's another matter) - on Crazy Ex Girlfriend than there is on these things.
I love Will Arnett but the trailer for this bummed me out. Almost makes me wish Running Wilde found its footing and took off. At least it wasn't a faux-indie/mumblecore-y sadcom that seems like it came off of a conveyor belt at the Joe Swanberg/Duplass/Apatow ennui factory.
Amen, sir. I'm a huge Spielberg fan (Hell, I enjoy 1941!) - this movie wipes the floor with Hook and eats its breakfast.
I was wondering what happened to her and saw that she married the director of Rise of The Planet of The Apes and The Gambler.
