I also saw fun. in DC when they were opening for… ugh… Jack's Fucking Mannequin. It's neat when opening acts blow the headliner out of the water.

I was at that concert! And yes. Yes it was amazing.
I prefer Seagull Steals Bag of Chips from the Convenience Store.
Punch Bros. always felt to me like Thile just showing off for the sake of it, whereas Nickel Creek was fun to listen to. But maybe this record is getting closer to what I want to hear from Thile again.
Sorry you're missing out on good music because a banjo killed your family :(
Is AV Club like Zombo com then?
Oi! Wot's with all the dandies prancin' on the ol' glimmer-and-sheen without piping up their vocals? Too good to talk to us, then? More like The Arse-tist, then, innit? Big bag of wank is all that is. Back to the pub for a pint, then.

I think it holds up, and I agree about his other movies. For some reason, his Romeo + Juliet has this frantic, almost-Tarantino-like energy to it that makes it just a blast to watch. I like it more now than I did when I was younger (though you being a female might have liked it for other reasons 10 years ago, and yes…
I think the movie is mediocre-to-pretty-good and is pushed over the top by the casting for Benvolio and Mercutio. Just spot-on casting and very fun roles. The whole movie is just loads of fun.
Just going to go ahead and out myself as a philistine: I really, really dig the Baz Luhrmann version and find it endlessly watchable.
Yep. Pregnant.
Venti Violence
And when he finds something while clearing a minefield he shouts "live mine!" because he's all helpful and shit.
Scrawler, I like you even more now that I know we're on the same side in the Oxford comma battle.
