Good book but he was over dramatic in parts. I seen almost every episode of his second year he was off base when it comes to not being on the show, in fact in many he had a line or more for each show unlike many he claimed he had nothing. He made that over dramatic to gain sympathy from the readers. From talking about

It's rumored he helped Jean with some of the choices in casting and writing. Ann Risley who was in the 1980 cast was an actor from some of his prior films and was chosen probably due to his input.

Well his wife was a guest on that season when Dana Carvey hosted, November 1994. So he very well could have seen Garofalo full force and had a legit reason for saying it.

I agree, loved Brook's films. The only one I wasn't crazy about was the first one but the rest were solid watches.

This show was okay but it gives signs of burnout when it comes to ideas that are not Christmas themed, but I do agree Michaels goes overboard in his discritption, he prob knew the episode wouldn't have been as good.

Raquel was still one of the sexiest women in the world at the time and def one of all time hotties, not the best actress but men and prob most women desired the heck out of her. She was her day's Kim K, except she was likeable and had some legit talent.

This is one of my favorite all time episodes of the show. Lee was a rather underrated host out of his comfort zone and Meat Loaf was amazing to watch. Beltzer could have been better but i guess he didn't know how to prepare for it.

The fight between Murray and Chase was before the show started, not during Joel's performance. That was Lorne Michaels mistake in the Shales book, everyone else said the former.

This was a decent show, Spillman turned out to be fine. I'm surprised they never did this again, it could have been a lot worse. They wanted that Vasser co-ed to win, but they must have been disappointed when Miskel won.
