I cry constantly when I watch and rewatch this show. i don't know why because I'm not usually much of a cryer. The emotions are so visceral I just can't help it. These two episodes especially make me cry. Really everything to do with Bill Adama and Starbuck makes me cry, the way one is searching for a daughter, and

I do agree that their chemistry was much more convincing as siblings and semi-rivals. Also that the attraction was very one-sided, with Lee definitely the one doing the longing. But that is what made the relationship so heartbreaking for me. And I thought Bamber played that really well. I love him in this role.

When you said "waited too long to abandon the idea of a romantic relationship with another character with whom he worked well but had zero physical chemistry" I thought you were talking about the OTHER relationship Lee has, later. Now that one was seriously lacking chemistry. I always thought Lee and Starbuck had

Lee. And not just because of the biceps (which were… omg). He was smart and thoughtful and he loved Kara so much. That's attractive.
