Jesus, this almost makes you want to go to church…

Clearly the internets have gone sentient and are now actively trying to kill us by scrambling our minds…which they have.  Fuck you Internets.

So, to add my own now outdated summary…
because that's what the internets are for: Nabin's use of the original LotL as a representation of the Kroffts more druggy insane shows is mostly off base, the movie is not great, but funnier and stranger than the critical reaction and I'd like to lick off Anna Friel's

Just saw it the other night and it has nothing going for it beyond that ludicrous (and now clearly profitable) image. It's slow, badly shot, the characters are written painfully dumb and the ending is pretentious douchery. But I give Tom Six credit for lobbing this shit grenade into the public consciousness.

I find Seinfeld particularly odious of late. His mocking of the woman who was suing over his wife's hiding veggies in the food book. He was condescending and rude without being funny. Then on Larry King, he got all offended and dickish when Larry didn't know something about 'Seinfeld'—and let's face it, Larry's

I actually felt sorry for the people on the show…
not because they were made fun of, but because they were so marginalized in favor of the witty 'brilliance' of Seinfeld and Ripa and Papa. It's clear our 'average regular marrieds' heavily recreated their 'fights' and then were told to smile for the ref, take the

Greatest zombie / punk / comedy ever. "Send… more… paramedics!"
He will be missed.

OK, I'll say: 51% for.

Cuba's good in 'Devil's Tomb,' even if the movie is all over the place. And I find the funny vs. wearisome split is 51% to 49%. I'm not saying which side I'm on.

Diners and Man vs. Food are good specifically to note any places you'd like to eat if you're visiting. (Because I like deep fried food and the bacon clogging my arteries agrees.) That said, the wife and I are headed to Vegas for Christmas and the Hash House a Go-Go visited by Adam is on our short list for breakfast.

I should clarify on Alton, my wife has his book and even I appreciate the science / food angle. His show IS purposefully cheesy, but there's a calculated cheesiness to it. Also, check out this interview by something called the AV Club:

The dude appreciates himself. A lot.

Three Sheets
Man v. Food is OK. You pegged it right that Adam is a likable enough sort, but the titular 'fight' in each episode is the least interesting part of the show. I prefer Three Sheets on FLN as a better mix of genial host overindulging. You get just enough science and backstory on the various libations to

Not sure if this was mentioned…
But Hot Dog gets the best line of the ep.

…is the pseudonym I used when I joined the Columbia House Record and Tape Club for the 2nd time.

I grew up with 'Bloom County.' I consider it and the Letterman show on NBC to be the two great comedic influences of my formative years. Granted, I hadn't kept up on it regularly in the last 15 years, but holy crap…Opus…*sniffle* I need a dandelion patch about now.
