But now that I think about it, that era did produce some of my all-time favorite SNL commercials. So there's that redeeming factor.

That was "my" cast as well. And yet, I fucking hate that era. I love everyone in the cast, but for my money those were just the some of the most boring SNL years. So many one-note characters that went nowhere (even worse than now). And it all just seemed too vanilla.
