I guess I never really got why people were bothered by the "lecturing" Haneke does in Funny Games. I think it only really fucks with the context of the movie itself, and in my opinion doesn't lower it into "horrible" territory. Other than that aspect, I love that movie. The original, anyway.

I don't think I can agree with that. As a whole, it's very incoherent and messy. I think it reached its greatest peaks in the small moments, episode-to-episode.

I literally screamed at my monitor when I saw how much time they decided to just skip over after his surgery. Such a big fucking disappointment.
