I want a found-footage movie of characters finding footage of another movie in their found-footage movie. They watch the movie, and in it the characters find some more footage and they watch that, and now its about someone else finding footage that's about someone else finding footage. And it just goes on like that…

I think the point was that Beth and Jerry found some happiness in their marriage and family, but Rick did totally Cronenberg their world up to the point where they're actually eating the Cronenbergs. Not surprising they would hold some resentment towards Rick.

I'm guessing they hate him because he left them to rot in Cronenberg world that he created. I'd be a little pissed too.

As much as I disliked Gaius, he was not as interesting as Tom Zarek(Richard Hatch RIP). Zarek was a duplicitous manipulative son of a bitch, even though he was technically on the "good" human side. He could arrange a situation to his benefit, like the crafty bastard he was.
