Here's my thing.  I actually enjoyed his mom popping back up (and especially it being M.E.M.) but it opened up a giant plot hole.  If Nick only started manifesting his Grimm abilities because Aunt Marie was dying and his parents were dead, so he was next in line, then his mother's still being alive doesn't make sense.

Oh hell yes.  An infusion of Angela Carter would do this show a world of good.  (A little Tanith Lee wouldn't come amiss either.)
