ok, maybe three…

Old Women…
"The series, as always, portrays old women as opportunistic vultures, who won't hesitate to make any given person's life miserable because that's what they do, apparently."

And with that, Treme was cancelled.
Sorry guys, it's back to work on the wire, AG's orders….

Instead of waking up in Amsterdam, they wake up in the Hague. As they piece together the prior night's drunken events, they realize they have committed a war crime, several crimes against humanity, and something so awful the ICC is holding a special session just to come up with a name for it.

"Does ANYONE buy the rare skin disorder line?"

We didn't have a TV when I was young, so the first time I actually saw him was when I was at Disneyland and saw the Captain EO movie. I was so confused at the sight of him, I thought they were showing a different movie…

"… that's all I've got so far"

"Chicago, 1968. The Democratic Convention. Hippies and yippies alike fill the streets, waging a war of peace against Mayor Daley's thugs. There I was… watching it on TV in my dorm and drinking."

@Jordo: A DUCK! It's a DUCK drinking beer. THAT'S SIGNIFICANT!!!! Or maybe not….Anyhow, I'd recommend you stick with it, but I know it's definitely not for everyone….

-Tony's story on the golf course about John Gotti

Tony breaking in with "Still, with this thing with the dog, how could you not see it on the chair???!" just killed me.

Set up for the intervention…
Can't wait for that. Probably my biggest laugh from the show…

From what I've been able to glean from this thread, there is a narcissistic, borderline personality-disorder writer with a ninth grade education writing for the globe and mail….?

I'll second/third/eleventh that the shot of Furio is awesome.

I work just down the road
…from where this is filmed. Or at least where the exteriors of the used car dealership are done. Quite a coup for New Minas NS….

Nah, she just sounds like a frickin' canadian maritimer.

…no backbone, original thought, or moral resonance….are you sure you don't mean AJ?

My mom, who is the last person I would have thought would have liked the Sopranos, caught a bit of an episode on TV years ago and kept watching because she found Tony's breathing so funny (reminded her of a relative with a similar 'fat wheeze') and she ended up seeing most of the series.

After watching that series for its entire run when it came out, I only made the connection between 'capricola' and 'gabagool' last year.

No, starting with President James A. GARFIELD!!!! HAR HAR HAR!
