DC resident here. All of the local publications/politicians here had a field day reacting with really dumb opinions about PJ Harvey's song she wrote about DC. I get that people get mad when someone from another country is here for a couple days and then wants to speak with authority on a subject but the people of DC

Na. Well there is one bar in Nationals Stadium that will sell you Miller or Coors Lights for $6 up until the first pitch. After first pitch those Miller and Coors Lights are $9 (16 oz) like they are everywhere else in the stadium. Makes going to games for me cost prohibitive.

Beers at Nats games are $9, at least inside the stadium. They might be cheaper outside at the Fairgrounds or Bullpen or whatever the hell they call that place now. It's a nice enough stadium, as well it should be with the amount of tax payer money they spent building it, not to mention all the former residents they

Well yeah you just happened to be at one of the most expensive places in the city. You are paying for the view there (fun local fact: that's the same bar ex-Washington Football Player Albert "Fat" Haynesworth got in trouble for putting his credit card in a waitress's cleavage). I had a friend order a vodka and red

I tried a Salmon Flavored Vodka at a lousy cocktail bar once. Oh my God it was foul. And it cost $11. Fucking DC prices!

Have not watched this episode but I do got to say that I have been to Commander's Palace and the place is legit. Went for lunch and got the three course meal. Turtle Soup, Stuffed Quaill, and bread pudding. Service was top notch as well. Not to mention at lunch they have 25 cent martinis! Go right now!

Saw the commercials for this last night while watching the Ovation channel which is a thing I never knew existed.  And when I say I saw the commercial I really mean that as there must have been a commercial every 7 minutes.  The commercials did nothing for me but if they advertised it as being adopted from a Mikhail

Yes.  I remember that Warped Tour.  I went to the show at RFK in DC.  ST didn't show up.  I think the lead singer was sick or something.  Fun fact was that Eminem got heckled pretty hard, mostly because he played right before BLINK 182.  I also remember the pre Fergie Black Eyed Peas.

I got drunk and watched The Factory a couple weeks ago.  It was horrible.  And it had one of the goofiest third act twists I have ever seen.  It's sad because Cusack was once one of my favorites.

I saw Lagwagon a couple nights ago and they were fucking awesome.  Not too mention loud, my ears were ringing the next day.

Would it be presumptuous of me to say that "Dear John" is about me?

I recently made my dad some Cd's of all Propagandhi albums previous Supporting Caste since I'm taking him to their show in DC and he basically made the comment that their newer albums rock more.  I"m inclined to agree, and Failed States is a fucking great album.  I liked their earlier stuff but their new stuff is so

Rx Bandits were a great band! Ska or no ska!  I liked Progress, but the album after that was pretty good too!

I don't want to say I felt bad for the American swimmer who ended up not medaling, but it's pretty cruel of NBC to interview the guy right after the race when he is dejected after falling short of his biggest life goal on national television.  "So loser, how does it feel to be a stupid loser who couldn't medal?"  I
