I agree, it seemed to touch on the fact that Carmela often went overboard when trying to "protect" Anthony from anything that could corrupt him, while at the same time being married to a thief and murderer.  Think about it, those houses are in a secluded cul-de-sac, there is no traffic.  What could've possibly

Doesn't everyone sort of ignore the valet unconscious on the ground?

One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas…

Cut-to-black. CUT to black.

I think Chase was already building towards Melfi's realization through that study that she was really only helping Tony become a better criminal by understanding psychology.  I don't think he would've picked up on half that shit had it not been for his therapy sessions.

And Minute Maid.

And how the hell did Toddster not mention Frankie Valli as Rusty Millio?

Maybe it's just me, but if I woke up and my "friends" had shaved off my eyebrows or glued my head to the carpet, I'd later be arrested for murder.  Looking online, shit like that seems to happen a lot amongst drunk guys at parties and I don't get it.

I'm surprised Todd didn't comment on how Tony actually uses AJ against Carmela a few times in this episode.  The most obvious of which is buying the Xterra (I always liked that the damn thing is bright yellow, like the safety patrol) and then telling AJ "Your mother is holding the keys until your grades are up."

"Hi dad, I'm just taking out the garbage!"

"If this episode is remembered for anything, it’s probably the long list of notable guest stars. Strathairn, of course, went on to his most famous roles—his Oscar-nominated work in Good Night And Good Luck or his work in the Bourne series—after this season had aired, but this episode also features cameos from David

For shame, DPA.  You've turned into the AV Club Henny Youngman.  One that shows up twelve hours late, drunk and exposing himself.

Yeah, that's the Mike Figgis one.  I haven't listened to the commentary, I wasn't aware there was one for that episode, but now I will.  I doubt that was the fault of the editors, considering nothing like that has ever been done on the show before or since, and that was the only episode he directed.  So his surprise

I love Angie Bonpensiero.

Dammit Clam, I was just about to describe that scene as one of the most Lynchian things Chase ever did on the show.

You realize we've been talking about that awful scene transition from "Cold Cuts" for the last season and a half now?  That's how bad it is.

I figured it was a combination of him retching and a panic attack.

You actually missed a few steps.  Johnny Sack had Phil, Billy and Joey Peeps kill Lorraine.  Carmine, Rusty and Angelo had Tony B. kill Peeps in revenge.  Johnny then had Phil and Billy kill Angelo, which drove Tony B. crazy and he ended up killing Billy and wounding Phil.

During the huge fight between Tony and Janice, he mentions that he left her alone with Livia "mired in her bullshit" while "free-spirit Janice, rebel without a cause" was out west "dropping acid and blowing roadies!"
