I dunno what this "timid comic world" thing is all about.

Yeah man, they're EDGY. Calling T&E (or any other comedian) "dangerous" makes me think of Patton Oswalt talking about that Damn Yankees video. How dangerous can two cherubs be anyway?

It always bugged me that Freddy getting fingered was such a minor part of the movie. Then again, what else was Tom Green going to call his movie? I'm A Farmer? Backwards Man? Actually, that might've worked.

In the trippy humour stakes, I'd be unable to stop myself from comparing T&E to The Mighty Boosh, and I don't think they'd come out on top.

I didn't realise there were any boundaries left.

@James Ian McKenzie: Yeah, I hate it when people like jokes. What's with that shit?

Rabin and I are completely at odds when it comes to comedies. I hated Bruno, FGF (altho I respect it for being so fucking bizarre), Hamlet 2 and probably heaps of others that he's praised. It's handy really; now I know to avoid any comedies he recommends, cuz they probably won't result in chuckles.

@Eric G. - OK, but saying that people "can't handle" a film is pretty condescending at the very least. Nothing about T&E's aesthetic sounds very appealing to me, but I don't care, so…meh?

Maybe, if he wasn't the chief perpetrator.

Your band would play local clubs in a major city, make a buzz, and an

check. …"

Sure is, just ask anyone who sold me a ticket to a Harry Potter movie.

Egads that clip is atrocious. Such a smug little shit, even back then.

Who left the milk out? Yuck! Yuck! Yuck!
Dad left the milk out! Yuck! Yuck! Yuck!

Juno, of course, because fuck Juno.

How is calling a film pretentious lazy? It's a perfectly fine adjective, as good as any other, and sometimes it's appropriate. Just because something is pretentious doesn't mean it isn't good, or that you shouldn't like it, me calling a film pretentious just means it doesn't fit my sensibilities. I don't begrudge a

Agreed. A guy I used to hang out who loved them (and also cussed me out for not realising that NIN's Dead Souls was a cover, JEEZ) would've loved that too. Probably woulda hated the shirt tho.

Mauschwitz?

I'd buy one.

31G! 31G! 31G!

I've never seen any of his films, but based on what I've heard, read and gleaned from trailers of his work it isn't up my alley at all. He is obviously a very gifted filmmaker, and the polarising effect his films have is further proof of that, altho sometimes I feel like people like Tree of Life simply because they
