Ah, but one year after Batman Forever we got an even greater example of poor film/classic soundtrack with Dragonheart. The theme song, so classic, the movie, so "ehh…"

This is how it's done in Gotham County!

Arrow's pilot was solid, but then it had about a dozen or so episodes worth of growing pains. Once those growing pains were out of the way through, it was pure awesome as far as the eye could see.

It evolved into a nice little show after the poor pilot. I will definitely be watching it over the zombified Awkward.

I'm in, assuming this is in time:

Doesn't that have a procedural element to it? I haven't actually seen it yet; it's on my to-get-to list.

PTA is the opposite of a one-hit wonder for me: A one-miss wonder. I massively dig Boogie Nights, Magnolia, There Will Be Blood, even like Punch-Drunk Love, but man, The Master did NOTHING for me. Disliked it start to finish. It honestly might have been one of my five or so least favorite moviegoing experiences of

Assuming you're specifically talking dramas: Parenthood; Shameless; Masters of Sex. And while they're genre shows, Sleepy Hollow and Outlander aren't specifically superhero shows either, nor antihero shows. If you want to dip into recent TV history via Netflix Instant and haven't seen them yet: Friday Night Lights;

I'm not a Soderbergh nut either, but I love The Informant! Try that one out if you haven't seen it yet.

I won't argue on Temple or Kingdom, but I think Last Crusade is an A- at worst. As a kid it was actually my favorite of the series for a time… probably because of tanks and Sean Connery.

Cool. I look forward to marathoning the series, thoroughly enjoying it for four seasons and then spending three after that repeatedly going "Ugh, would you please fuck off and die Logan?"

I only did a greatest-hits highlight reel of rewatching about 5 or 6 episodes when they put season 1 up, but with season 2 I'm super excited to rewatch the whole thing. Heck, I'm more excited for that marathon than the vast majority of actual new seasons/series of TV starting this fall.

I thought the banker's cheery moviegoing story and assertion of optimism followed by his immediate suicide was more or less hilarious pitch-black comedy. Not sure if the show intended it this way or if this means I'm a sociopath.

"Kill Them All" is my favorite first season finale for any TV show, ever. ("State" from Friday Night Lights comes in a solid second place.)

Hurry and gimme that Pencil Eraser!

Oh damn, this is a topic I've always loved. Town themes in RPGs are seriously great. You have to capture something that indicates safety but doesn't get dull or repetitive. It's tricky. I think my all time favorite may be The Kids Run Through The City from Final Fantasy 6:

Maybe. I'd always imagined the hypothetical Community "movie" as more of a multi-part series finale anyway, like maybe three episodes called Community: The Movie Part 1, 2, and 3 or something.

They do have one hilarious thing in common - John Beard reads the news in both of them:

I've always hated this idea. Hated it after the subpar season 8, still hate it after really enjoying Live Another Day. Some shows are well-suited for film continuations, but 24 is not one of them (neither, for that matter, was Arrested Development, another proposed movie I never liked the idea of and am glad they
