Jeez that's a well-made puppet. Bring back practical effects, movies!

My dad left me for a damn war!

That pretty much sums up why, though there are (a few) other shows I may find better than Spartacus, there's no show in existence I feel the need to evangelize for more. Its quality-to-exposure ratio is more skewed than literally any other show. I spent 3+ years watching it churn out explosive, brain-searing

The fact that Manu Bennett and Lucy Lawless are the only Spartacus actors with current regular or semi-regular TV gigs is so, so, so irritating to me. That show's greatness should be all over my TV every week. Liam McIntyre and Nick Tarabay (Ashur) and Dan Feurriegel (Agron) and Katrina Law (Mira) and Ellen Hollman

Test.

If you're into badass TV fight choreography you should also check out Spartacus - which is co-starring Slade Wilson from Arrow!

This show is delivering big bucketfuls of badass on a weekly basis at this point. The action scenes are great, I'm invested in the characters and the story is moving along at a brisk, refreshing clip. There's not much else currently airing and in-season that I'm looking forward to more every week. I feel like in its

My endless watching and rewatching of Spartacus has made me largely immune to being bothered by cartoonish TV effects. I did notice, though.

*shudder*

I doubt very, very much that this show is going to kill characters in the way Whedon is known for. ABC is keeping too tight a grip on things, making sure it stays nice and safe and inoffensive.

Wha? Jeffrey Bell wrote and directed the Angel series finale, which was fantastic and brilliant.

Man, I hate when the DVD/Netflix versions of shows have different music than the airing versions. Really fucked up a lot of my favorite music cues in Friday Night Lights S3-5.

1. Herstory of Dance (A-)
2. Basic Human Anatomy (B+)
3. Conventions of S&T (B)
4. Advanced Documentary (B)
5. Cooperative Escapism (B-)
6. History 101 (B-)
7. Felt Surrogacy (B-)
8. Marine Biology (B-)
9. Heroic Origins (C+)
10. Paranormal Parentage (C+)
11. German Invasion (C)
12. Intro to Knots (C)
13. Advanced Intro to

It's either my third or fourth favorite of S4 (roughly tied with "Advanced Documentary Filmmaking," below "Herstory of Dance" and "Basic Human Anatomy"). I find it basically inoffensive - a 'B' episode - which is a hell of a lot more than I can say about the episode this 60,000+ comment thread is technically

I don't care too much if they ignore the second season, but I'd love to talk the first season. I just rewatched it when they put it up on Netflix a few months back. So much goodness. Myotismon arc, god damn!

Digimon for TV Club Classic!

The big two I can think of off the top of my head that I know I'd follow and comment on religiously are Friday Night Lights season 1 and Spartacus season 1 (the latter of which I imagine will depend on whether or not Ryan McGee wants to do it, because I severely doubt anyone else will).

I like it a bit more than you - I've been watching since the beginning, I've seen every episode, at this point I will of course watch every episode through to the end of the series, I generally find it quite good. But it's never been and will never be one of my favorite shows or one of the shows that matters most to

I hope Todd's lack of interest in enjoying Community S5 isn't as evident in his reviews as it has been on twitter and podcasts and everywhere else this year, or else I'll probably have to find a new place to read reviews of it, just like I did when Ryan McGee's Fringe reviews became a weekly diatribe about his apathy

Honestly that wouldn't surprise me that much. I might grimace a little though.
