I doubt very, very much that this show is going to kill characters in the way Whedon is known for. ABC is keeping too tight a grip on things, making sure it stays nice and safe and inoffensive.

The big two I can think of off the top of my head that I know I'd follow and comment on religiously are Friday Night Lights season 1 and Spartacus season 1 (the latter of which I imagine will depend on whether or not Ryan McGee wants to do it, because I severely doubt anyone else will).
