I'm curious to see if this show can convince Robert Downey Jr. or Chris Evans (or any of the rest of them) to pop in for an episode around sweeps time. That would be mad ratings right there. I'm looking forward to the show for the Whedon factor, although I can't let go of this feeling that reviving Coulson so

I gotta be honest, I thought this was one of the most dull episodes the show has ever done. Nucky and Gillian's stories were both complete snoozes, and I certainly don't care about college booze shenanigans. Even Harrow's story was pretty dull by Harrow standards, though it was probably still the best thing going for

I kind of bordered on giving this episode my second A- of this half-season (after episode 4), because I'm not really a huge fan of the Grey Matter thing being resuscitated at this late, late phase in the game and used to boot Walter White back out the door. Though ultimately, everything else was so well done it's

Why is it that so many Breaking Bad superfans actively want the show's protagonist to be a flatter, less multifaceted character than he is, then get really mad when anyone else doesn't want that? So weird. Never seen anything like it.

Season 2 of Arrested Development led into My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss on Fox in fall of 2004.

You can rest somewhat easier and less creeped out, because the ubiquitous-and-known-to-all silenced pistol sound depicted in basically every film and TV show ever made, including this episode, isn't what an actual suppressed pistol shot sounds like. Like how people in the olden days thought horse trotting that wasn't

Though ironically, there should have been snow on the show at some point, as it does in fact snow a little in Albuquerque in December and January, but they took artistic license and ignored that. (Source: Live near Albuquerque.)

If there's one thing I kind of felt inklings of in the last year or two but realized in a really intense, visceral way this year especially - hell, I could maybe nail it down to the last three or four months - it's that I've more or less lost interest in the contemporary genre of "quality TV," with its glacial pace

I'm not particularly old in the grand scheme of things, but the fact that you "grew up with" Community, Parks and Rec and Louie makes me feel positively ancient.

After Brooklyn Nine-Nine (which was legitimately good), Back in the Game is probably the least painful fall sitcom pilot I've seen so far. I might go as high as a B- for it. I am a born sucker for underdog sports stories, so that factors in, I'm sure.

I actually like Hart of Dixie. Though I'll admit there's not much to talk about on a week-to-week basis, though.

Back to the Future, Die Hard, and The Princess Bride. The 80s trifecta of endless rewatchability.

Side note, based on looking at the other lists here: There might be nothing more baffling about this fall TV season than the giant pass the piece of "We really, REALLY wanna be Modern Family!" hackwork that is Trophy Wife has been given.

Man, I was totally digging Revenge's soapy over-the-top vibe after season 1, but I was SO disappointed by the final run of season 2 I'm not even sure I want to continue. I'll give it a shot, at least…

Sean Saves the World is going to be canceled so fucking hard. Talk about a show that doesn't stand a chance. I'm kinda looking forward to Michael J. Fox though, which, yeah, it looks a little sappy and hacky, but on the flip side I've watched Back to the Future somewhere in the realm of 100 times (no hyperbole), so I

Martindale and Arnett are fantastic, but great actors can't make a turd anything more than a turd with a coat of paint on it.

I'm too lazy to do the day-by-day thing, but this fall I'll be watching Boardwalk Empire, Bob's Burgers, American Dad, Homeland, New Girl, Always Sunny, Parenthood (my most anticipated return, can't frickin' wait), Parks and Rec, Legend of Korra, Supernatural, Arrow, Scandal, and as far as new shows go, I'll be giving

THE GOOD:
• Andre Braugher's performance and character.
• Taking the crime/police work plot just seriously enough, but not too seriously.

For the record, I live in middle America, so my comment is a touch self-deprecating.
