I know, right? Wright exposition vs Topher Grace exposition? There's no debate.

That is an incredibly white cast. C'mon Nolan, get some Morgan Freeman in there. You know you want to. Also Jeffrey Wright, because why not.

Last year? Agreed, big snub. This year? I dunno… I can live with it.

@avclub-0840875a9da6f24c4e0fc883b399d93a:disqus Definitely, it sounds like you fell behind on Parenthood right before its quality spiked in season 3 (when FNL ended and Katims was no longer dividing time between it and Parenthood simultaneously).

The Casey/Danny tension is these episodes stressed me the hell out the first time I watched them (on DVD, years after the series ended). I still think it's probably the best argument Sorkin's ever written, and extremely well acted too.

Spartacus: War of the Damned is far and away my #1 show of the year so far. Breaking Bad could unseat it if it ends in a way befitting the quality of the rest of the series though, so fingers crossed.

1. Seeing Simone and Toby interact even briefly made me instantly want him to break up with boring Nikki and get back together with her. Boo Nikki!

Both Friday Night Lights and Parenthood had teen girls get pregnant and then get abortions of their own free will; Friday Night Lights back in 2010, Parenthood just a few months ago this year. Probably not coincidentally Friday Night Lights and Parenthood share a showrunner/head writer, Jason Katims.

I doubt Angelo's baby will be wrapped up by the season's end. But your post still earns a "like" for "if only, if only."

All of tumblr is. But tumblr is weird, so.

I'm still rooting for Nikki's dad's killer to be Chef Jeff. It's the only instance in which I will accept Chef Jeff's return to the show.

If y'all were trying to get me to unfollow Bunheads, congratulations, you win.

It didn't exactly take a crystal ball to see it coming, but this is still the most disappointing premature cancellation for me in years. At least since Terriers in 2010, but that show, unlike Bunheads, at least got a semi-satisfying ending. Hell, I maybe haven't been this disappointed since Arrested Development in

The sense of completion and ending is a big part of why Freaks and Geeks is the ultimate one-season wonder.

I'd be very surprised if The Fosters isn't renewed. Its ratings have been basically equal with Switched this month.

Hell, I'd have taken four more episodes just to pull it up to a 22-episode season. I'm very bummed this show that generally made me very happy will forever be a show with a sad final note.

It will, followed by 9 more seasons.

It's really hard to pin things down to "moments," but my favorite TV episodes of 2013 so far would be (takes deep breath): The 30 Rock and Fringe series finales, "Small Victories" (aka the abortion episode) from Parenthood, "Nude Beach," "Topsy," and "The Kids Run the Restaurant" from Bob's Burgers, the Ginny audition

I immediately ctrl+f searched for Spartacus upon opening this article, and am glad to see I'm not alone. I was going to specifically call out Spartacus grabbing the blade of Crassus' sword when Crassus did his "unblockable" sword-spinning move, which is perhaps the only thing I've seen in a work of fiction this decade

Outside of 30 Rock, Breaking Bad, and Game of Thrones, basically every show I'm enthusiastic about got snubbed in every category. So, I continue to not give a shit about the Emmys. And now I'm going to cease thinking about them until the fifteen seconds I take to read the winners list, then forget about them again
