30 Rock season 1 is still my favorite season of the show. By a pretty good margin, too. So I guess opinions are like assholes and all that.

24 seasons 7 and 8 aren't as good as the first five, but in contrast to the jaw-dropping awfulness that was season 6, season 7 definitely qualifies as the show's biggest uptick in quality between seasons.
Kind of surprised that the 24 entry isn't about it's actual universally-acknowledged-by-absolutely-everyone worst season, season 6. Granted, it didn't really return to "greatness" after that, but it sure as heck got better. Friends and Lost both ended on their worst seasons, so they don't really belong. Definitely…
That seemed… fine. Oddly non-action-packed for a show with this particular premise, though. I'll keep watching for at least a while and see how it shapes up.
I was thinking more of the version from The Walking Dead people, where roughly every 5-8 minutes of DeKnight's version would constitute the events of an entire hour.
It's a shame no one covered Banshee. It's been an interesting season. Obviously nothing that's a pimple on Spartacus' ass, but a nice post-Spartal cool down on Fridays.
I can't believe how much this show packs into every hour. It just shatters all the rules of how television is supposed to be, and is so exciting and blood-pumping and kick-ass doing so. Goddamn I love this show.
I'm so, so, so excited for these next five episodes. Like, there's literally no other upcoming pop culture at any point in the future I'm more excited for. Because with five hours and so much story left, you know these episodes are going to be jam-packed and kick ass. Thus why I both hate and love Steven DeKnight for…
Spartacus: Blood and Sand for TV Club Classic!
I appreciate that, after revealing his rape fetish last week, the show made sure to stay on Nemetes gargling to death on his own blood for a nice long time this week. Most satisfying death since Glaber for sure.
I don't really see Tiberius making it out of the season alive, I'll say that much.
I definitely was getting inklings of a "makes it out of the series alive" vibe from Gannicus tonight. You may well be on to something.
It's the halfway mark of the season, I definitely think someone big has to die tonight.
There's a pretty insane amount of talent in Parenthood, so it says something that Mae Whitman's performance has stood out from the crowd for me week after week for four seasons now. I'm hoping she breaks into full-blown stardom once she's done there (which I do hope won't be for a few more seasons yet, because it's…
She's definitely the best crier on TV right now on Parenthood, and arguably the best screamer/arguer, too. That, and she can land a punchline! What a champ.
I've definitely heard many Community fans express the sentiment that they'd rather the show had been canceled and "Introduction to Finality" been the series finale. I'm not sure I agree with them, but I've definitely heard it said.
@avclub-7fd1d5cec910c61b1864a51eb7e18cbc:disqus I certainly adore Community, but I can't get behind that. Arrested Development is, to me, start to finish, the pinnacle of filmed comedy in any medium.
It's not so much that it feels old or aging, as that what's going on kind of has the feel of cover artists working very hard to do as close an imitation of the original song as they can, especially in how they're writing Abed. I still enjoy it, though, albeit definitely not as much as I used to. It used to be my…
In all fairness, I think that S4 having Troy and Britta start the season a couple is, along with Annie studying forensics, one of the things that is taken pretty much exactly from Harmon's original intentions. (Love it or hate it.)
The Office season 5 was very good. The Michael Scott Paper Company arc actually turned to show back into (for me, the last time) genuine must-see TV. I definitely think that Lieberstein blew his wad with that arc and never achieved anything remotely comparable again, but that arc was stuff that had me sitting down…
