We could be civil about this, but I prefer to err on the side of Defensive Asshole
Haven't seen the film; find myself siding with Tasha, knowing how much I hate manipulative whimsy & CGI, but DAMN was she harsh in this back-and-forth. Scott was merely on the defensive
How in the hell did Nilsson pull of whimsey so easily? He's not even trying and I'm enchanted.

I also thought he was puzzlingly dismissive of Folds' snarky side, but I also have mixed feelings about Folds
But Phoenix's actions never hurt anyone. Nor do Franco's. So when it's left to our interpretation, IMO, it IS the thought behind your actions that matters.
Whichever it is, I'm fascinated. It kind of reminds me of how everyone made fun of Joaquin Phoenix for being a jackass. Then he revealed it was a hoax, and everybody made fun of him anyway for pretending to be a jackass.
"instantly streaming a vast library of tears" got a big long lawl out of me
Steve Martin's twitter and talk show appearances demonstrate that he's still funny, and his bluegrass albums demonstrate that he's still ambitious. I guess his film career is just for keeping his pot boiling.
The conundrum of everyone hating Ted reminds me a lot of how the Friends writers lazily turned Ross Geller into one dimensional high class snob for easy laughs, but HIMYM is whimsical enough to let Josh Radnor play up the silliness of it. He was really funny in this one
I liked "Natural History" so much that the Zoe arc was worth it for me
Now I swear that I'm not a troll, but you guys have got to be kidding me if you haven't thought of George Harrison's Concert for Bangladesh cover art.
Seconded
Tom Waits for this cold to clear up because it's really roughening up his voice
When I was a little kid I thought Sideshow Bob was just the coolest villain ever. The "Cape Fear" references went clear over my head, but even then I was very taken by how silly/funny it could be yet honestly suspenseful. The other ones are stellar, but Cape Feare really took the Bob vs. Bart element to its extreme.
ImpromptuJ, you idiot, it was the curse of the jaded monkey that trapped Bill Murray in Groundhog Day
If that same Paul McCartney dreamed the tune to Yesterday
…ten years later than he did, then it would still be called Scrambled Eggs
Songs of Leonard Cohen
…for its amateurish design. The title on that album looks like a fourth grader just discovered text effects on Microsoft Word.
