I actually enjoyed Jason Goes To Hell. It was funny and gory and didn't take itself too seriously. And I was quite high, which helped I think.

Only if you are a big Saramago fan. It took me at least 75 pages to get into the book; it is at times dense and slow going (and ultimately very cynical). It was best at cleverly illustrating the absurdist pratfalls and doublespeak of governmental agencies, and I did eventually start to enjoy the book. But unlike…
