Totally right. All three of these opening credits are genius, and at least two of them better than the show that follows.

I like all of these movies, although I must say Fight Club had the most lasting impact on my life considering it caught me right at that adolescent stage of boyhood which made the film so resonant. Zodiac is a more mature film, but I wouldn't dismiss FC as "silly philosophizing." Showy machismo aside, it really…

ME QUICK WANT SLOW.

Even if Whedon wasn't too busy, I wouldn't want him doing it. He's too self-consciously tongue in cheek, and wouldn't be able to resist throwing in old references just for the sake of geekdom. I would prefer someone a tad more serious, someone not quite so steeped in geek culture.

That is some unexpected and well-articulated sports rage. And as a Lions fan, I can appreciate that.

I always pictured George Clooney in this role. I like Tom Hardy as much as the next guy (or gal) but Sam Fisher had that "gettin' too old for this shit" thing going on, and Tom Hardy's just too young for all that. Ah well. I'm already over it.

I actually really liked this movie. It didn't have the staying power of some of the Coen bros. other films (Miller's Crossing, Lebowski, No Country etc.) but it was a really well-acted farce. They were coming off the Oscar-winning No Country the year before and I think just needed to do something less self-important…

I do think there's some drop-off in season 3 (the Rita story arc is pretty much a big miss), but then again it's being compared to 2 near-perfect seasons of television that came before it. Despite its Britain-y flaws, it was still better than other comedies on TV, with some of the funniest moments of the series.

Really? I think JJ Abrams has been putting out stuff that is average-to-good recently. Better than The Transformers, at very least.
