I distinctly remember Oliver tweeting that Young Avengers was a likely candidate for end-of-year best of lists when the first issue dropped. Interesting to see the genesis of that book. Was there a point where it all went wrong, or in retrospect, was it doomed from the start?

I wanted so, so badly to root for this book, but I fell off in the middle of the second arc and never cared enough to hop back on.

To argue that M.I.A.'s messaging is stale is a fair argument (one that I would disagree with, but a fair argument), but to spin that into a yarn about not being able to produce a "dissertation on her beliefs" is reaching at its finest.

That would be Viola Davis, not Octavia Spencer.

So excited for the upcoming film adaptation of "A Shiner Like A Diamond", starring Amy Sedaris as herself.

Lana Lang on Smallville. Especially since she got knocked unconscious every other episode and never suffered long-term brain damage.

NBC is the last network I'd expect to be confused and unable to respond to basic inquires.

But will it have an Engineer mind-controlling two men into having sex with each other, like in the original draft for the first movie?

Can you imagine what a nightmare it would be to be a lawyer is the MU or DCU? Jurisdictional issues surrounding multiple universes, statutes of limitations on people who die then come back to life, prosecuting non-humans and telepaths…

The man frantically pounding at the keys is giving me "organist playing In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida in The Simpsons" vibes.

Josie and the Pussycats beget my life-long love affair with Parker Posey.

"I find the most erotic part of a man is the posterior."

I love to marathon TV series, but the idea of binging being the only option available sounds exhausting. The episodic system is nice not only for the reasons you listed, but as a means to prevent overload.

People who hate it are still pretending it's a period drama. People who love it have accepted that it's actually a really excellently produced soap opera.

I don't know if it's a Rob Lowe problem or a writing problem, but Parks and Rec clearly has no idea what to do with Chris. His character has been painfully one-note for way too long.

It's fun to watch old seasons to see Michelle Visage continually set the bar for good taste lower and lower. Good on Janice Dickinson for putting her in her place.

What happened to that cute boy from Winnipeg on Youtube who was a Freddie doppelganger?
