My favorite wing place is Quaker Steak and Lube (used to be a Quaker State gas station, don't order the steak) - I'll admit, though, I've only ever eaten at the original one, so I don't know how well the franchises do at replicating the food. The sauces are really good, though.

To quote a Maria Bamford bit: "I'm just a very sexual person…and working in an industry that provides me with no legal recourse should I be repeatedly victimized makes me feel *hot*."

And he knows less about our government than you'd learn from an episode of School House Rock. Sigh.

For example, our illustrious president's stunning level of literacy.

I didn't watch that one, so can't really say, but very highly stylized in a way that really played into the themes of the story. Every costuming, set, and prop design choice was clearly very thought out, and it's the sort of thing where you'll keep finding new things about it on rewatches.

It was one of the best tv pilots I've seen in a while - really beautiful to look at, and a ton going on. It's batshit crazy, but in a good way so far. And, that person's interpretation of it is so off base, I don't even think they were paying attention when they watched it. It's a radical interpretation of the

Feta, I agree, but ricotta is a pretty common pizza topping - think the Sporkie at Bertucci's, for example. Or, any white pizza or Calzone usually has it in the mix. If a place doesn't have it, I question their pizza credentials.

I dunno about Boston - a lot of the pizza places around here are really Greek restaurants. If a place doesn't have ricotta as a topping option, but does have feta, its pizza is usually going to be pretty terrible (based on personal experience).

It nearly goes full circle, so dumb that it's brilliant again, but I don't think it quite makes it. I've never heard a real person say that phrase, but I love that it's someone's idea of the catch phrase that a rich sophisticate would have.

Fun story about unrealistic portrayals of the "power of love" in pop culture: When I was about 9, we went as a family to see Guys and Dolls on Broadway. The last song before intermission was "Marry the Man Today (And Change His Ways Tomorrow)". Immediately after the lights came on, my mom turned to my little sister

There are enough bad guys right now that in the movie they'll all be turned into one or two composite characters.

One of my housemates in college had Law & Order: SVU on dvd, which I thought was baffling for a couple reasons (one, they were showing some flavor of L&O on tv 24/7, so who needs dvds, and second, that show?), but then she came out and her first girlfriend bore a startling resemblance to Mariska Hargitay, and it all

Do you have to have a Facebook account to RSVP? That's the one night I'll be at sxsw without any other commitments, and it sounds like fun.

Sometimes when we order Chinese food to go (for 2 people) we order so much that they include a free cake, because they assume we're throwing a party.

When Snowden first went to Russia, a bunch of people in the hacker community were somehow trying to hold them up as supporters of transparency and the free press. Everyone else had to point out that they weren't supporting Snowden to support his ideals, they were just giving a big FU to the US.

I've been to Wasilla - all you could see from there was Confederate flags and tea party campaign signs. (And those coffee/espresso stand trailer things that seem to be everywhere in Alaska, for some reason.)

The people getting married pretty much never get to eat the food, no matter what wedding traditions they're following. There's just too much going on.

Did you see that stuff about how Trump hasn't actually been reading any of the shit he's signed, and was "tricked" into putting Bannon on the security council? I'd been joking about his lack of literacy, but sounds like it's more accurate than I'd thought.

My husband always stops in any we come across to get Jelly Babies.

Oh, that's right - I had the two mixed up, but Trigger Warning is the one I was thinking of.
