Were you not forced a reprint of the first issue of Gotham Central along with your weekly purchases in your LCS? I was; all the more galling because a) it was cancelled and never brought back, b)never been collected into an omnibus, and c) not made into a TV show when this nonsense has been.

In terms of Batman, the worst thing for this show would be success - as then it'll be strung out for season upon season, until all the insane characters are ridiculously intertwined well before Batman is supposed to show up … who is supposed to kickstart the transition from organised crime to theatrical crime.
