I enjoy MasterChef, but I have to roll my eyes at how much they manufacture drama with the sappy inspirational music. I cringed when they put Monti up there, ready to admit defeat, but when the judges liked her scotch egg, the music tried to convince me I'd just seen the climax of a Rocky movie.
